Our biggest pride at Allied is our people, and our highest honor is that they bless us with their service for so many years. Today Brenda is celebrating her 30th anniversary with us here at Allied Supply. Congratulations on this amazing accomplishment! We are so happy that you decided to call this your work home, and we hope to squeeze another ten years out of you!! (And yes, 30 years is well deserving of a five seconds maskless photo with your boss!)

Tom Getzen, President of Allied Supply Corp. is pleased to announce the hiring of Timothy Douglass as a Parts & Repair Specialist. For the last few years, Tim has been with Conn-Selmer in Elkhart, Indiana, working as a Repair Parts Specialist. He brings a great breadth of professional experience across the band instrument repair industry. Tim is a familiar face to many, having received his repair training at Renton Technical College in Renton, Washington. Over the last ten plus years, he has worked at large and small shops, including a stint with NAPBIRT. We are thrilled that he and his wife have chosen to move to Wisconsin and begin what we hope is a long tenure with us, here, at Allied. We are confident that Tim’s hire will help facilitate Craig Anderson’s impending retirement and desire to live in Arizona with his wife, a retired 3rd-grade teacher. We hope to provide a smooth transition for our customers, without compromising our commitment to having a knowledgeable, professional technician available every day. Please join us in welcoming Tim to the Allied family!

Insider tip – we are picking and shipping orders today, and if you get your (domestic) order in to us within the next couple of hours (with no plating) it will probably ship TODAY.  We can’t promise international can ship today, or anything after noon central time but we thought you might like to know.  🙂

Shipping & RECEIVING

We want to ship lots of orders, but first we want to make sure you will get them! Every day we are getting packages back from shops that the carrier says were unavailable for delivery. This varies from city to city, and state to state, (and don’t get us started on international!). We will ship wherever you tell us to but it is your responsibility to make sure the carrier will still deliver to your location. Many drivers (and even our own postal carrier) are following the directives of their dispatch centers to not deliver, so it falls on YOU to make sure they will bring your package to your door. We suggest you CALL the carriers to verify this before you place your order. We understand this is challenging and have been dealing with it on our inbound as well.  When we ship your orders we are under the assumption that you have completed this step and we are not responsible for the packages once they leave our doors. If packages are returned we will charge for re-shipping. So please, call your carriers and make sure we can get your packages to you, before you place your order.  THANK YOU

In an effort to reduce the handling of mail and paper checks we want to encourage our customers to pay for their orders with credit or debit cards. We accept PayPal and all major cards, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.  We can take the card number at the time of your order OR you can call a card in to pay off your open account (and potentially get another 30 days interest free!).  We never pass along any processing fees to our customers, and maybe you can get miles/reward points too.  As a reminder, for your security you should never email credit card information.  We are working with our bank to add additional ACH payment options and will keep you posted.

Wisconsin – Safer at Home

In the face of Wisconsin Governor Tony Ever’s “Safer at Home” order effective this morning, Allied Supply will continue “Minimum Basic Operations” of our warehouse. We want to assure you that our employees’ and public safety is the HIGHEST priority for Allied Supply and we will only continue operating if we can keep everyone safe and in compliance with the government order.  This means we will only have one person in our facility on a daily basis and we will coordinate our operations very carefully.

Our employees will continue to take your phone, fax and email orders from the comfort and safety of their homes.

Our tech will continue to support you from safety of his home in the beautiful Arizona desert (lucky guy).

Bear with us as we deal with occasional technical difficulties that arise with our crew at home. You will definitely see delays in the speed of the order process, we will only be able to ship once or twice a week. And there could be customer service challenges because we can’t walk into the warehouse and look at parts. There will be NO edits, changes, additions or deletions from orders once they are printed.

What won’t be different is our team of the most hardworking and dedicated people in the business doing everything they can to take care of our customers.

We can’t wait to be together again under one roof, but we are working VERY hard in these challenging times to make sure our warehouse can continue to ship so that our customers, most of them small businesses, can keep working during this crisis.  We can assure you that Allied Supply isn’t going anywhere, our plan is to be as stocked up as possible and ready to ship the minute business gets back to normal.

Telecom problems

We are experiencing intermittent telecom problems that seem to be unrelated to our system and outside of our control. We assume it relates to millions of workers at home trying to do the work!  If you have trouble reaching us via phone and you don’t get a call back from us within an hour please try an alternate method of communication, fax, or any of our sales team can take your order via email just insert their name before the @alliedsupplycorp.com!  Craig is still taking calls and emails via the technical help line or email too.  Bear with us as we work through these challenges!

Health, safety, continuity

As a result of the Covid-19 global pandemic Allied Supply has initiated a business continuity plan. Effective immediately, for the health and safety of our employees we are implementing work from home, reduced staffing and alternate days for work that must be done on-site.  What does that mean for our customers? The biggest change is we will likely be shipping orders and invoicing only once or twice a week. We expect to see delays in receiving parts from all over the world as everyone deals with production problems as a result of business closures and lock downs. We will do our best to make this transition as easy on our customers as possible without ever sacrificing the welfare of our employees and their families.  Because so little is known definitively about the ways this virus spreads please follow all CDC or local government guidelines on handling parts and packages received from us.  The bottom line, we intend to remain operational without interruption, feel free to call, fax, or email your orders as you normally do. Our hardworking and dedicated employees will still answer your call, they just might be barefoot with their dogs under their chairs! We will miss everyone being together everyday but hope to be together again before too long.  Our best wishes and prayers for your health and wellness.  We hope to hear from you soon.

Happy 35th anniversary, Beth!!

We are celebrating Beth’s 35th anniversary at Allied Supply today (and yes, as a matter of fact she DID start as a teenager)!  We are so lucky to have such loyal and hardworking employees who have almost 140 YEARS of experience with us.  Tom Getzen couldn’t be here with us to celebrate but his daughter Bridget was nice enough to stop by and bring flowers!

Way to go, Beth, 35 years is an amazing accomplishment.  We are SO blessed to have you!
