We have completed our annual inventory in near record time even with two people here less than a year and new to the process, and while it wasn’t a record for accuracy we think what our people accomplished is pretty darn good considering the following numbers:

  • We have almost three million individual pieces of inventory on hand
  • We carry an inventory of roughly 13,000 unique parts
  • We shipped almost 20,000 orders last year
  • Those orders contained over 1.4 million parts leaving our building …
  • We had twelve sections of our warehouse that had ZERO or essentially zero variance

The bottom line?  Our crew lost track of less than two tenths of one percent (.14%) of our inventory, but, the funny part is no one is the building is happy about the variance because they don’t strive for “really good” they seem to strive for “perfect”.

We are so proud of the work our staff does every day, and so grateful they choose to leap into a new decade here with us at Allied Supply.  What does their startling efficiency mean for you? It means we are open and taking orders today and tomorrow – a day and a half ahead of schedule!

Happy New Year everyone!

Polar vortex – weather closure 1/30/2019

Posted Tuesday, January 29th, 2019 in Company News

We are projected to be greater than 50 below zero most of the day tomorrow. We know that most of our people would brave any weather to be here but we are concerned about them getting HOME safely after their cars sit out in the cold all day.  Out of an abundance of caution we have decided we will be closed Wednesday, January 30th. We are sorry for the inconvenience to our customers but we need to take care of our people! Stay warm everyone!

Inventory closure & holiday hours …

Posted Thursday, November 29th, 2018 in Company News

The last day to order a plated part and have it shipped before Christmas is Tuesday, December 11th.

The last day to order for shipment before Christmas is before noon on Tuesday, December 18th.

We will be closed for inventory beginning Wednesday, December 19th and not reopening until Wednesday, December 26th. Orders (with no plating) received before noon on Friday, December 28th will ship and invoice in 2018.  Our technician support is also disrupted during the holidays as Craig and Beth, two of our most experienced and valued employees take holidays that overlap a bit – they deserve it!! Please get your technical questions in before Christmas or you may wait to have it answered until January.

We will be closed to celebrate the New Year on Monday, December 31st and Tuesday, January 1st, reopening at 8 am on Wednesday, January 2nd.

Please keep these dates and holiday hours in mind as you prepare to close up your year.  Always good to remember that shipping times vary wildly during the month of December as well.  If you absolutely need a part please consider paying for expedited shipping and handling … the one to two-day shipping average cannot be counted on during the e-commerce shopping season.

As always, everyone at Allied wishes you a safe and blessed holiday season!

A heartwarming story of a stolen Getzen trumpet … check it out here.  All of us at Allied are very proud to work for the Getzen family!  And, if any of our customers see the original B flat Getzen P18562 come through your shop let’s try to make sure it makes it home to SSgt. Matt Miller for Christmas.

Price list tip …

Posted Wednesday, July 18th, 2018 in Company News

We’ve heard some grumbling (okay, maybe it was just people around here) that you can’t tell last year’s price list from this year’s.  Our printer loved the snazzy layout from last year so much they actually asked us to stick with it “instead of the boring old one”.  Our Price Lists do always have dates on them, in the upper right under our name.  Another tell is the 50th anniversary seal in the upper left of the 2017 version, circled above, is not on the new 2018 version.  We hope that helps!  And no, we still haven’t identified the horn in the picture!
